Local Gardeners Pick up Top Tips at Bayer Garden Evening
In a presentation given by garden care expert, Anita Dent from Bayer Garden, the audience learnt about the company’s latest product range, including its new organic Slug Bait and a new weedkiller which keeps ground clear for up to six months. Anita also spoke about Bayer’s green credentials in terms of sustainable packaging design, while taking questions about general aspects of plant care and gardening.
Bayer Garden is the company behind leading gardening brands, Baby Bio, Phostrogen and Provado.
“A lot can change over the space of twelve months in the gardening sector, so it’s always a pleasure to talk to the horticulturists of Newbury and surrounding areas about the new products now available to treat the age-old problems of weeds, slugs and lawn disease,” says Anita.
“Gardening remains a hugely popular pastime for many so, it’s important for us to continue to support the local community at this annual event, while putting the Bayer Garden name at the top of the list for quality gardening products.”
Part of the event involved a demonstration of an example of one of Bayer Garden’s new recyclable packaging - Simple Soluble Sachets weed killer, which has proved to be clean, convenient and cost effective to use. The new soluble sachet formulation was awarded a gold medal in the 2008 industry awards for its innovative design. The product works by dropping the soluble sachet into a watering can or sprayer and watching it dissolve therefore reducing handling by the user. There is also less waste as the entire soluble sachet is used.
